There are usually 2 calls for proposal per year (deadlines: early June and early December). Submitted projects will be reviewed by a scientific steering committee, composed of 10 members from different Earth Sciences domains and from different swiss academic institutions.
Due to the new SNF accounting, the fees are now being subdivided between:
- Consumables, which are charged at a fixed daily rate;
- Assistance with the analysis (including data processing); which is an hourly fee. The number of hours of assistance charged will depend on the level of experience of the user.

Samples (indium and epoxy mounts) prepared at UNIL will be subject to additional charges.
